To further strengthen university-enterprise collaboration and bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice, a faculty-student delegation from the Liangxiang Campus and Fucheng Road Campus of the Business School recently visited CITIC Construction Investment Securities for a research and exchange session titled “Stepping into the Financial Frontline: Exploring Industry Dynamics.” The initiative aims to broaden students’ professional perspectives and support informed career planning.

At the outset of the event, guided by professionals from CITIC Construction Investment Securities, students toured the historical, product, conceptual, investor protection, and simulation experience zones in sequence. Through the display of physical ticket samples, live demonstrations, and interactive presentations, the guides facilitated a comprehensive overview of the securities market’s development, introduced various investment instruments and their associated risk levels, and conveyed essential knowledge on rational investment practices and investor rights protection.

The engaging presentation allowed students to gain firsthand insight into the professionalism and appeal of the securities industry, fostering a more intuitive and systematic understanding of financial markets.  

Following the tour, faculty and students collectively viewed an educational video on preventing fraud in securities investment. Featuring vivid illustrations and representative case studies, the video emphasized the importance of vigilance and rational decision-making in future investment activities, thereby reinforcing awareness of financial fraud risks.

Zhao Qiuyin, a professional from CITIC Construction Investment Securities, delivered an insightful presentation to students on the topic of “Financial Career Development and Future Planning.”

Mr. Zhao provided a comprehensive analysis of the operational mechanisms and development trends in the financial industry, covering CITIC Construction Investment Securities’ organizational structure, business portfolio, and day-to-day practices. Drawing on students’ academic and career contexts, he offered practical recommendations on professional certification, internship pathways, and long-term career planning.  

In response to student inquiries regarding employment and internships, Mr. Zhao delivered thoughtful responses, encouraging participants to proactively gain hands-on experience and continuously strengthen their professional competencies to build a solid foundation for successful entry into the financial sector.

The lecture provided valuable frontline insights into the financial industry while remaining closely aligned with students’ developmental needs, offering significant inspiration to all participants.  

To enable more students to engage directly with the financial sector and gain firsthand exposure to its professional dynamics, the Business School organized a student delegation from the Fucheng Road Campus for a follow-up visit and learning session at CITIC Construction Investment Securities.

The program maintained the high-quality structure of previous sessions, progressing systematically from exhibition zone briefings and risk prevention education to conceptual learning and career insights. Each segment was carefully designed to build upon the prior one, enabling students to deepen their understanding of financial principles, broaden their industry perspectives, and gain clarity in their future career paths.

During the visit, students not only enhanced their comprehension of investment philosophies but also learned to identify suitable investment strategies according to their individual profiles. They further strengthened their risk awareness and acquired practical skills for protecting investor rights and interests.

Participants unanimously expressed that the event effectively bridged classroom learning with real-world industry practice, offering valuable insights and renewed motivation for their future career development.
