On November 2, the Business School successfully convened its 2025 Strategic Advisory Committee Annual Meeting. Professor Mao Xinshu, Associate President and Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee of Beijing Technology and Business University, attended the event and delivered an opening address. The meeting brought together experts and scholars from central state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, accounting firms, and other sectors. Distinguished participants also included Professor Xie Zhihua, former Associate President of Beijing Technology and Business University; Professor He Mingke, former Associate President of Beijing Wuzi University and currently a professor at Beijing Technology and Business University; Professor Yang Youhong, former Dean of the Business School; as well as faculty members Professors Wang Bin, Wang Pengcheng, and Zhang Weihua from our institute. All attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on advancing high-quality development of business education in the new era. The session was chaired by Fan Jiangtao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School.

Professor Mao Xinshu, Associate President and Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee of Beijing Technology and Business University, extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the attending experts and scholars in his opening address. He provided an overview of the university's development and spoke highly of the long-term intellectual support rendered by the Strategic Advisory Committee to the growth of the Business School. Confronted with the opportunities and challenges in higher education in the new era, he expressed his hope that all committee members would fully leverage their strategic vision and forward-thinking insights to offer precise guidance and valuable recommendations for the School's advancement, thereby facilitating a leapfrog improvement in its development.

Professor He Yurun, Dean of the Business School, delivered a comprehensive report detailing the School’s development progress in 2025, structured across three key dimensions: institutional profile, development achievements, and strategic considerations for future advancement. In her presentation, she provided a thorough analysis of the critical challenges and developmental bottlenecks currently facing the School in key areas including talent cultivation, disciplinary development, scientific research, and faculty development.

During the suggestion and exchange session, the committee members engaged in in-depth discussions on several critical topics, including business talent cultivation, development of high-level faculty, practical training for mid-career and young faculty, construction of practice bases, and industry-academia-research collaborative education mechanisms. Drawing from their professional experience, they provided valuable insights and guidance for the School’s future development.

The meeting has charted a clear course for the School’s development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Seizing this annual meeting as a strategic opportunity, the School will systematically consolidate and incorporate the valuable insights from all experts, further strengthen the foundation for talent cultivation, and enhance disciplinary distinctiveness alongside research innovation. These efforts will contribute significantly to the University’s pursuit of Double First-Class discipline status and the advancement of Business-Industry Integration initiative.
