In response to Beijing’s Colorful Culture, Youth Blossoming Action Plan, the Business School organized all participants of the 2025 Spring Term Student Party Member Development Candidates Training Program to conduct on-site learning at the Xiangshan Revolutionary Memorial Site. The initiative aims to strengthen Party spirit cultivation, deepen understanding of the Central Eight-point Regulation, draw insights on work style development from the Party’s century-long history, and reflect on the contemporary significance of the “exam-taking” spirit. Through this activity, participants actively engaged in the Capital Universities' Red Story Promotion Project, enhancing their ideological awareness and sense of historical mission.

During the event, the “Walking Business School Red” Propaganda Team implemented a structured three-step methodology—“learning, discussion, and presentation”—to guide students in reflecting on the original aspirations and missions embodied in the revolutionary predecessors’ “exam-taking” journey. Through this process, participants strengthened their work style through practical experience and actively demonstrated the sense of responsibility and commitment expected of youth in the new era.

Entering the Xiangshan Revolutionary Memorial Hall, the trainees were immersed in a vivid portrayal of the turbulent years when the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China embarked on its “journey to Beijing for the historic examination.” Through over 800 historical photographs and 1,200 precious cultural relics, they gained a deep understanding of the arduous and extraordinary struggle of the revolutionary forebears and the enduring significance of the “Two Musts.” By profoundly grasping the Party’s fine traditions and drawing rich spiritual nourishment from the experience, the trainees further strengthened their ideals and convictions and gained a clearer sense of their responsibility in this new era.

History may be silent, but the spirit endures. During the visit and discussion session, the trainees engaged in an in-depth exploration of the core essence of the “exam-taking” spirit—namely, vigilance amid stability, strategic foresight in anticipating challenges, self-awareness through constant reflection, and a sustained commitment to relentless progress. They unanimously affirmed their determination to translate these insights into action by taking the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulation as a guiding principle. In academic pursuits, they pledged to uphold rigor and integrity, adhere strictly to ethical standards in business conduct, and safeguard the baseline of professional honesty. At the same time, they emphasized the importance of innovation and initiative, committing to align their personal aspirations with the broader goals of national development and contribute youthful energy, intellectual insight, and practical strength to the advancement of Chinese-style modernization.

The revolutionary predecessors’ exemplary ethos of fearlessly confronting hardships and persevering through adversity left a profound impression on all participants. They are resolved to internalize this spirit and manifest it in concrete actions, engaging in their academic and personal development with renewed enthusiasm and a steadfast sense of purpose. In a solemn commitment, they affirmed: they will inherit the red gene, uphold the Party’s glorious traditions, strictly observe discipline and rules, remain true to their original aspirations and missions, and strive to become a new generation of youth whom the Party can trust, who are devoted to national service, and who are fully capable of shouldering the historic mission of national rejuvenation.

This visit to Xiangshan served not only as a profound reflection on the Party's glorious history, but also as a transformative spiritual experience that deepened ideological conviction. The “Walking Business School Red” team has embarked anew from this symbolic highland of revolutionary spirit. Through concrete actions, they are actively responding to the new era’s “exam” mandate, striving to inscribe a resplendent chapter of youth on the historic journey toward national strength and national rejuvenation.
